

subject	코레일 "불법 건물 구미역 정상화 하겠다"

코레일은 8월 18일 불법 건축물인 구미역을 정상화하기 위해 현재 상업시설 임대 사업자와 계약을 해지한다고 밝혔다.

코레일 하승렬 사업개발본부장은 이날 구미시청에서 기자회견을 열고 "임대 사업자인 써프라임 플로렌스가 임대료 58억원을 납부하지 않았고, 각종 시설 개선을 요구했으나 이를 묵살해 계약을 해지하기로 했다"고 설명했다.

코레일은 2006년 9월 구미역을 완공했으나 주차장 등 일부 시설은 법적 요건을 갖추지 못해 준공 승인을 받지 못했고, 2009년 12월 말로 임시 사용 승인기간이 끝나면서 지금까지 불법 건축물 상태로 운영하고 있다.

코레일은 애초 써프라임 플로렌스가 지하 주차장을 건립하기로 했으나 이 회사가 자금난으로 공사를 마무리 짓지 못해 준공 승인을 받지 못하는 등 정상화가 늦어졌다는 것이다.

하 본부장은 "계약을 해지한다는 내용을 써프라임측에 전했고 법적 절차를 거쳐 새로운 사업자를 선정해 이른 시일 안에 구미역을 정상화할 방침"이라고 말했다.
